How does online tutoring work?

School is going online. Digital textbooks are replacing the backpack that weighs more than you, all the information you could ever need is at the tips of your fingers, and teachers are sending lessons and receiving assignments online. As education has gone digital to integrate new technology, I've done the same with my tutoring sessions.

Getting started is simple. All you need is a computer, tablet, or even a phone, an Internet connection, and a quiet place to spread out your work. Flip through the slide show below to see some examples of what online tutoring looks like. If you have questions that aren't answered here, contact me and I'll be happy to discuss options with you! Regardless of your assignment, there's always a way for us to work on it together remotely.

Collaborating online starts with videoconferencing software. If you've never used Zoom or Google Meet before, they're free and easy to work with. These programs allow us to see and hear each other, send photos and files related to assignments, and share screens so we can both be looking at the same thing.
